My name is Aurélie Asseo, I was born on 22/2/1988

I was born  ,grew up ,and currently live in Geneva.Switzerland.

I am physically handicapped .This ,due to my extreme premature birth ,at five months, which unfortunately triggered a cerebral hemorrhage and  the loss  of my twin sister who passed away  aged a week old only.     As a result, I could not walk when I was a toddler nor even stand .  It was said to my family at the time that  I  could never succeed in walking nor  in writing. However with a lot of support and fighting spirit   I  finally started walking   at the age of 8, after I had  major interventions on my legs, including a crucial one I had in the US  in  the Newington children's hospital, Massachusetts , (now Hartford’s) where we travelled twice    back in 1995.  I could then enter ordinary school  after time spent in a institution for handicapped children . I studied letters for some time . English and French class, in Geneva University for a year  afer I obtained my baccalaureat in a French lycee in Geneva in July 2009 .
As a  Swiss citizen, I was raised in a open cultural melting pot with an atheist Jewish father  and a mother    who has both Swiss and  Iranian Muslim roots.

and a British step- grandfather Douglas  I  adore, a soulful teacher

My father is a wood carver and carves stuningly beautiful statues out of woods and my mother helps him crafting his art.

I regularly attend teacher training   course in Geneva 's workers colleges where I teach migrants, I am also learning Russian. I have been writing for  years on poetry and writing networks, indeed   I  started in 2007. I find my  inspiration in emotions I feel related to the search for reciprocated and  intimate  love,(I am attracted by both sexes, I consider love stories  to be not  a matter of gender, race, or colour .  ) I am interested in folk tales , classical music. And I have inspiration based my own life experience or at least what I feel about my life. I have many interests related to music and literature. Amongst many things I  love  listening  to Rachmaninoff 's etudes tableaux. My name is Aurélie Asseo, and I was born on 22/2/1988 in Geneva, Switzerland. My life journey has been marked by challenges since my extremely premature birth at five months, which led to a cerebral hemorrhage and the tragic loss of my twin sister at just a week old. As a result, I faced the daunting prospect of never walking or writing, as was initially predicted by medical professionals. However, with unwavering support and a determined spirit, I defied the odds and began walking at the age of 8, following significant leg interventions, including a crucial surgery at the Newington Children's Hospital in Massachusetts, USA, where we traveled twice in 1995. After spending time in an institution for handicapped children, I eventually transitioned to mainstream education and pursued studies in letters, including English and French classes at the University of Geneva. Despite the initial prognosis, I obtained my baccalaureate from a French lycee in Geneva in July 2009. As a Swiss citizen, my upbringing reflects an open cultural melting pot, with an atheist Jewish father and a mother with Swiss and Iranian Muslim roots. I hold a deep affection for my British step-grandfather, Douglas, who is a soulful teacher. My father, a skilled wood carver, creates stunning statues from wood, and my mother actively supports him in crafting his art. In addition to my academic pursuits, I engage in teacher training courses at Geneva's workers colleges, where I teach migrants, and I am currently learning Russian. My passion for writing emerged in 2007, and I have been contributing to poetry and writing networks ever since. My creative inspiration is drawn from the emotional landscape surrounding the quest for reciprocated and intimate love, transcending gender, race, or color preferences. I find particular interest in folk tales, classical music, and the Russian tale of the Firebird. My eclectic musical taste includes Oriental and Celtic music, shoegaze British pop, and post-punk pop. I am an enthusiast of Greek new wave cinema and contemporary Greek writers. My literary influences range from Virginia Woolf and W.B. Yeats to Maya Angelou and various others. Beyond my artistic pursuits, I am politically active, aligning myself completely with left-wing ideologies that incorporate green and social ideals. My multifaceted interests reflect a life rich in experiences, resilience, and a dedication to creativity and social justice.
